Join us for Lights on Lincoln & Santa Comes to Town to kick off the holiday season! Bundle up and enjoy the magic as Santa makes his way through Downtown DeKalb along a sparkling, light-lined route. Free to attend!
When Santa arrives at the Egyptian Theatre, he and Elfie will head inside for a magical tree lighting, followed by free hot chocolate and visits with Santa on the second floor. The concessions stand will also be open with food and drinks available for purchase.
Santa’s Route:
Santa will travel east on Lincoln Highway, north on 3rd Street, west on Locust Street, and south on 2nd Street, stopping in front of the Egyptian Theatre (135 N. 2nd Street).

Santa’s route begins at 6pm and will take about 5 minutes. Visits with Santa will begin immediately after the tree lighting inside the Egyptian Theatre.

Make the night extra magical with Tinsels & Tutus! Dimensions Dance Academy dancers will bring downtown storefront windows to life with dazzling performances from 5-7pm with a brief pause at 6pm as Santa arrives. For more information, visit www.dimensionsdanceacademy.com.
City of DeKalb Public Transit is offering free special bus routes to take you, your family, and friends to see Santa! All routes are fare free from 5pm to 8pm. For more information visit https://www.cityofdekalb.com/1438/2025---Lights-on-Lincoln.
